Washing machine at times does not spin clothes somewhat dry. At times it is very wet. The dryer drys good some days and some days I have to run it 2or 3times to be dry

My husband and I purchased this machine from Smith's in Georgia. We were unaware that this machine did not have a dryer sensor. We were also unaware that Smiths has a no return policy. This was not verbally explained to us. We made the purchase hastily, as we were told it could be delivered next day I'd we hurried down to purchase that evening. After delivery, I contacted Smith's, and they told me they couldn't help me. No returns. I've contacted Speed Queen, and I was told they couldn't help me either. I would like to purchase the more expensive machine, that has a dryer sensor, but apparently I'm out of luck. So my recommendation would be do your due diligence and be sure the machine has the features that you need. It's difficult to know how long to dry my clothes. Often times they're still wet when I go to fold them. Other times they've been overly dried. I would just really love the opportunity to return this machine and purchase a different one that has the features I need. The other thing of importance that I would note, is that an upgraded dryer vent is recommended by the Sppeed Queen customer service center. No one told us about this either. I spent $250 having my dryer vent upgraded and cleaned when I had concerns about the long dry time. So I would also recommend research the type of dryer vent needed to support this machine.

I love my speed queen dryer. No more doing 3-4 cycles to get clothes dry. It is efficient at drying small or large loads in one cycle. I can choose time, heat level and it performs super quiet. Just absolutely love it!!

Purchased beginning of 2023 along with the washer to match.
My only complaints are:
1. Does not seem to get hot enough? Always put on HOT
2.The door seems very hard to open. Have to really pull it hard to open. Other family member cannot open without assistance.
3. Cannot remove the lint catcher?
Called speed queen and said you NEVER have to remove.....
I clean it after every dry cycle
Still would like to make sure ALL lingering lint is cleaned out

Only one flaw: the dryer does not have a "ding" to alert the user when the cycle is almost completed. I like to remove the dry clothes immediately after the cycle finishes so they don't sit in the dryer and wrinkle.

After several recommendations by friends who have owned Speed Queen laundry appliances for many years, I decided to purchase a washer dryer set for my new home.
I'm 7 decades old, have raised many children and done a great deal of laundry in my life. This washer reminds me of my 1970s workhorse Kenmore that lasted forever.. Huge capacity & stainless tub. Clothes really get clean with very little detergent or washing soda. The machine is very quiet (complete opposite of the front loaders I've had) and cycles are much shorter than the front loader I previously owned.

We wanted to love this dryer however after only 30 days use the heating fuse blew. Then after two weeks without a dryer we finally got it fixed only to have the fuse blow again within 7 days. Then a new heating element and fuse were installed and it's been working for 3 weeks. Very frustrating to have this happen with something that is supposed to be top of the line.

Overall, this dryer and washer that we have is a great product and performs well. The only drawback that I see is the dry filter cover area is hard to clean out because the size and location. This is hard to clean with big hands and could cause damage to screen.

This was the most expensive brand I looked at and I was told by the dealer that it is very reliable. For $1,250 I hope it is. I did not get the top of the line model, but this one has no heavy duty setting, and the auto dry feature shuts off before all the clothes are dry. I generally set every load to 70 minutes and most things are dry by then. But this dryer doesn't have the features that my LG had for half the price. I am told it is better quality and will last a long time -- I hope so.

After 25 years, we finally replaced our Kenmore set (still working but wouldn't fit in our new laundry room). There was no other brand we looked at other than Speed Queen. We knew their reputation for quality and longevity was what we wanted in our next washer and dryer. This set is awesome. Both machines are so quiet we had to check that it was running even though our laundry room is right off the living room. The auto water level works perfectly! I was worried that it wouldn't wet all the clothes and leave dirt and detergent behind but it always fills up enough to wash everything completely. We are so happy with our purchase.

This is has been a nightmare. When the dryer was installed...they had to swap the door and it did not work properly. ALSO, the rubber gasket around the dryer door was defective. THEN a 3rd party repair team (which they have been very nice to work with) came out to repair and we are on our THIRD repair with the door . It STILL will not shut properly! The repairman is coming back this week. I have been dealing with this problem for about 5-6 weeks now

Is best purchase I've ever made cleans clothes very well drives them very well and it doesn't very fast and super quiet. You can tell by just looking at it and listening to them run. I have not found the machine to be as quiet as I was told. It sounds more like my washer going into a spin cycle. I also have concerns about the lint filter. I haven't found it to be the easiest to clean & I have found lint on my clothes. I think as you remove clothes from dryer, they pick up lint from the filter. Too new to know if it's as dependable as advertised.

I have only had this dryer for one month. I have a LP Gas one which I had so much difficulty finding a LP Conversion kit for any other brand. This was my only option for a dryer at this time due to lack of LP conversion kits.
It was more costly than other dryers I priced. It seems to be fine and I am thankful I could get a conversion kit.

I really like how quickly the dryer gets clothes dry, but everything seems to come out more wrinkled than my old dryer. For the price, the lack of an end-of-cycle buzzer seems really chintzy and a stupid inconvenience only as a way to get the consumer to buy the next level dryer (more expensive).

The dryer is great as far as drying. But there is one issue that needs to be fixed. The metal grill in the top left corner of the machine reacts with the heat and becomes frayed and snags your clothes as they tumble dry. Causing hundreds of dollars of damaged clothing. I love the product itself, but would never buy another one until this piece of metal would get fixed, there has to be some indestructible material that could be used. Thanks for listening.
